$80 worth of food. In drive, of course. Hahaha. Ha. (i.redd.it)

There needs to be a throttle that shuts down orders like this and directs the customer to visit the store and order in advance. Then they'll go to Costco like they should have in the first place. Maybe Starbucks Workers United can add this to their list of demands. This harms the experience for other customers. Who would want to be the customer with a single cheese danish waiting behind that?

Pretty sure if this happened in my store, we would ask the person to come inside, or at least pull around to the front of the building. We don't allow people to order travelers from the drive-thru, either.

I usually would have asked her to come in, but I was in the bathroom and our ASM took the order and started making it.

This is so incredibly disrespectful to the employees, and other customers of restaurants when people do this. It’s like being in line behind 15 people thinking you were just behind one. Like if you’re having an office party or something, just opt for a place that caters and quit being cheap assholes.

Ironically, they could probably get better food for less money if they went to a bakery or a grocery store or something

i’d quit. i’d literally leave.

I wanted to spontaneously combust on the spot. And the lady was rude af and didn't tip.
depressedbarista420 10 points 1y ago
Need to have an automatic tip for large orders, like restaurants do

Why warm everything? It will be cold by the time you bring it to wherever you are going. Warming is only needed if you are eating it with five minutes especially for pastry itemss
No-Pearl000 10 points 1y ago
why do people do this
philosopher_cat_lady 5 points 1y ago
More like why does Starbucks let people do this

fuck them!!! but mostly fuck this company for not letting baristas say no to huge orders
vertigo00o 2 points 1y ago
i fucking hate that we can’t say no to orders like this. it’s so frustrating and all they want is money and don’t care that much for their employees.
Irelandp 1 points 1y ago
Why would we say no? I understand it’s inconvenient but what do you think we are doing at this job if it’s not serving customers???
vertigo00o 2 points 1y ago
i didn’t type all i wanted to say
i meant to add why can’t we tell people to come inside for orders like this? that’s the incredibly inconvenient part and they’re holding up a lot and that’s the annoying part
snugintthevoid 4 points 1y ago
Do locations with drive throughs have separate ovens for those orders?
Traditional_Earth525 11 points 1y ago
Mine has two ovens, but one person warming.
persona-2 1 points 1y ago
On the upside only like 7 of those are warmed by the looks of it.
philosopher_cat_lady 1 points 1y ago
Why did y'all let her order all that in the drive-thru?
BarracudaBae [OP] 3 points 1y ago
Our ASM took the order...
