my manager is saying we all need to flip up our septum’s because they’re not allowed but the dress code says we are allowed one facial piercing. does anyone know if it’s true that we can’t have septum rings showing??

I have my septum pierced and it counts as the one, so provided you have no other FACIAL piercings such as lip or brow, you can leave it down. I put facial in all caps because some stupid management thinks that ear lobes are a part of your face. They aren't!

when i first started one of my shifts at the time had 6 facial piercings. they weren’t new, and he was a 7 year partner. my sm was just super relaxed on it lol. my dm also knew and didn’t care bc he had both a septum and his eyebrow pierced (but kept his septum flipped up)
similarly, quite a few people i work with have multiple facial piercings and my sm knows about them

I don’t know, I think a septum piercing creates a pretty unwelcoming environment. (Sarc)

this is an old rule but the dress code has allowed septum rings for at least 2 years to my knowledge.

You can have a septum ring. When I worked there, my supervisor even had one so. Not sure what they’re on about but maybe talk to your DM

Other than the one facial piercing I’m pretty sure the rule says something about size to I just don’t remember it off the top of my head. Maybe it can’t be bigger than a quarter/nickel? Now I don’t have a septum but I think they might be bigger than the requirements? I wish your manager didn’t care. I knew a shift who had ~17 facial and ear piercings

dress code manual says one facial piercing is allowed so as long as that's your only one you're still perfectly fine

In the look book on the last page it says one facial allowed but specifically no septum’s

My friend has a septum, nose ring, and multiple piercings in both ears. It really just comes down to the manager. Hers is super chill and doesn’t care 🤷🏾♀️

Are your counties regulatioms on it different maybe? I was previously at a county that wouldn't allow us to have our hair down at all so we followed that instead of dress code and currently I'm at a county that does allow it so we follow the sbux dress code.
