multiple orders in drive (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Healthy_Sound_6376
hello! i’m curious what you guys think on multiple orders for one car in the drive through, what’s your limit before telling them to come into the lobby? i had 3 cars CONSECUTIVELY with teenage girls that had 4 different orders each…. i find it so frustrating, do they not know about venmo??? what do you guys think?

It is a discretion call and how much your manager is willing to bend.

Personally, I was willing to take 2 orders per car during normal levels. If it’s not busy, it was based on how much bullshit I was going to deal with from a car full of people trying to do drive thru separate checks.

I got scolded for just saying “it’s going to be a few minutes on your food…” (*quite some time later) “I apologize for the wait. We offer mobile orders if you’d like to order online and then we can have it ready for you when you get here”. They said they didn’t know they could do that and thanked me for letting them know and then the SSV was like “don’t make customers feel bad for ordering food” but she fusses at me for every little thing so idk. I’ll probably keep telling people. Maybe more people will use it if they know it exists and the ones who already know might think to try it

Lol corporate would love that you told your customers that, and now they know! Keep doing you!

tell your sm to suck it if and when you quit

we live in a day and age of technology, it’s understandable if the customers are older, but people in mid twenties and under should know about mobile orders

also make the customers feel bad, if you have 5 separate orders just come into the store

but yeah ur sm sucks

I like 99% of my coworkers but there’s always that one that makes you occasionally want to walk out mid shift and then come back through the drive thru and be the worst customer they’ve ever dealt with 😂

Our limit is 2

Honestly we'll go up to 4.

It's irritating but it actually helps out drive time because all four "cars" leave so quickly once we're done.
