TLDR: we hired an extra shift and were promised no hours cut and then hours were cut

ok so i know everyone's hours are being cut everywhere but tell me why why why

we needed (1) new shift right, i applied and got the position (yay) and then later found out my SM hired a SEVENTH shift for the store with the reasoning "she would borrow one out for other stores in district that needed one" ok cool whatever

i ask and make sure my hours wouldn't fall lower than they already have, SM tells me "no you and (other coworker names) have open availability and shouldn't see your hours going down"

fast forward: i finish training and now other shift hire is starting this newest schedule and hours were cut by 10 hours :)))

i just dont see why hiring two new shifts to replace the one we needed was a good idea?? maybe im jsut selfish and want more hours but like i'm just trying to move out ahhh

Mine literally did the same thing. I was hired a couple months ago and then the hours got cut. Then last week was made aware of a new shift hired. Then she said at the end of last week she had to revise our schedules yet again because we were still 30 hours over on labor. But we hired a new, eh? 🙄
