i think people think bc the bathroom has a code at my store that it automatically locks… but it doesn’t lock from others who know the code 😭😭😭 please just turn the lock it takes two seconds i’m begging

We had a broken bathroom door lock for a little while at my prior store. That was a joy. Only choice we had for a little while was to put a sign on the door knock. We all know how well customers read signs.

Lmao we dont have codes on our doors but u just go in and press the little button in and the door locks. I always lock it when i go to the bathroom but whenever a customer tries to use the bathroom, they never knock...i always just hear someone tryna tug on the door. I always knock and wait like 3 seconds for someone to answer and then i try opening it. No customers at my store have ever knocked on the door before trying to open it.

Our locks are the same. It was insidious because you'd go in and "lock it" but it wouldn't be so the person inside would have a false sense of security.

Omg i would be terrified and traumatized if i was ever in a bathroom that i thought was locked but wasnt because it was broken. I would panic. One time i was at a hospital to get a PET scan or CAT scan done on my throat area for my thymus gland...i forget which scan but it was one of those. Anyway they asked me to get changed into one of the gowns and as i was, this old man opened the bathroom door which i definitely did lock cuz theres people waiting outside in that hallway cuz they were in the process of doing the same thing so i kno for sure i locked it... But an older man just opened it an saw me 😳

This same thing happened at my store and we just closed the bathroom. We also have a partner bathroom that we politely declined customers from using. It’s the little things you know?

happened to me because our door doesn’t shut all the way and i didn’t push it shut and i was wiping and an old man walked in. i wanted to vomit and cry all that the same time. 😳😳
