Today at the end of my shift I got the cheese and fruit box and ngl it low key busted in my mouth but now I have bad tummy ache. My coworkers also been saying the cream cheese made them RUN to the bathroom. Rip…. My stomach hurts it also could be cuz I eat the avocado spread… :/ thoughts? Also the food smells weird just me?…

maybe they arent the food safe temperature? very same thing happened to me with the cheese and fruit box. every so often we have to throw out all our food because the refrigerator temperatures are off and the food is above the safe range for who knows how long

FYI anywhere that isn’t in the specific business of stocking/making/selling food is a risky proposition to eat from. Starbucks is a coffee/tea retailer, and buying RTE foods is okay at best when you think about how those items are handled in the day to day operations at your store.

I still eat it, but I get your point.

every now and then it would give me the shits but sometimes my stomach just likes to 1v1 me you know?

No fast service food is suitable to eat every single day or to the exclusion of actual food.

That being said, it’s preferable to starvation.

idk man I love food
sailingsky 8 points 1y ago
idk it’s literally just cheese apples and grapes
Fearless_While_9824 11 points 1y ago
I’d suggest pulling your mark outs from the fridge stock and not the FOH. I see my co workers do this and no one complains of being sick the next day. I don’t/ can’t ate any of the food items Bux sells, but I think cheese looks to be the main culprit in your given examples. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yo you’re store gets FRIDGE STOCK? We hardly get enough to fill our FOH display kinda jealous.
Fearless_While_9824 2 points 1y ago
😂 I understand your surprise! We don’t always have fridge stock, but when we do… it’s where to shop! Lol.

Are we all fucked this month 💀 honeslty there is something in that starbucks package I stay way from the eggs.
MonstrousGiggling 3 points 1y ago
I've had it where the eggs smelled and had this awful chemical-like taste to it. It was so fuckin' gross. I don't get the egg box anymore for a markout.

I can't eat anything or even take the coffee from the liscened store I worked at. I don't even go in to location there 🤢 nasty conditions as hell.

No offense to my past co workers who work their butt ofs their. I am not getting food poisoning from work.

Also certians sweets like Brownies and cookies I feel safer getting them from like my home made batch or tims.

I ran into moldy peas 3 or 4 times in my chicken and hummus box.
awesomechief989 7 points 1y ago
I get this. Idk why but some things I used to love after I transferred eating them can make my stomach hurt. I assume it’s something that happens before it reaches us or the timing was just coincidental with my transfer
nicolelynnejones 6 points 1y ago
Yeah 99% of our food gives me a stomach ache. Specifically the ham and swiss panini sends me to the bathroom all night long
Spiritual-Pen1768 3 points 1y ago
I’ve gotten food poisoning from the ham and Swiss panini 👀🥴
strawberry_sprite_ 2 points 1y ago
same lol

Hear me out…. Are you lactose intolerant?
hungry_quadricorn 4 points 1y ago
I am lol found that out after the first few months of working there. Blessing in disguise. I’ve been almost completely dairy free for the past 5 years. However, I will eat a cheese and fruit box any day of the week and suffer the consequences. Something about that cheese makes it addicting
Hazelton2000 2 points 1y ago
The little Brie🤤🤤🤤
Puddle_Duck88 3 points 1y ago
Never had any problems with the food but I don’t eat the protein boxes or anything with pork in it. Usually I just grab a berry trio parfait or some overnight oats and a pink drink because I’m semi dieting
No_Hamster4840 [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Yaaa I get so skinny doing it but I crave bread smh
Puddle_Duck88 5 points 1y ago
One of our regulars orders breakfast sandwiches without the bread for her keto diet and I honestly don’t think I could do keto. I like Costco muffins too much
sharkiemd 2 points 1y ago
double smoked bacon made my ibs act up so bad i had to go home 😔
Bhaisaab86 2 points 1y ago
I’ve had food poisoning from the food at work four different times. The food was all within date too.
Bhaisaab86 2 points 1y ago
Also, there was one year where just one single bite of a chocolate chip cookie caused me immediate diarrhea. Don’t know what they did to the recipe that year, but it was not enjoyable.
lilly260_ 2 points 1y ago
pumpkin bread always makes my stomach hurt like cramps and everything 😭
strawberry_sprite_ 1 points 1y ago
cheese and fruit box, grilled cheese, and ham and swiss on a croissant have all made me violently ill
barkingbarista 1 points 1y ago
i had the chick peas once and i threw up…. 🧍🏽‍♀️
might be food related idk
Electrical_Metal_106 1 points 1y ago
I always eat the food but I’ve had some bad experiences. I’ve gotten a live wasp in my salad (when we still carried them). I’ve also had egg shells still in the hard boiled eggs. I’ve also had the rotten sugar snap peas.

My main problem is that I have a gluten intolerance. They decided to stop carrying the two main things that were gluten free. But, I still eat the food and then just deal with the skin and tummy issues I get from the gluten because, it’s free….
