Many coupons say to tell your server when ordering. People are just being cautious. And they're excited to use their reward.

seems like a first world annoyance to me.
they might think it makes it easier to let you know ahead of time. not every single customer is out to make your day miserable.

yeah i agree it is minuscule compared to other customer’s baristas have to take care of. just gets me annoyed in the moment because of how busy we get, we’re the only starbucks in our town lol.
