I’ll go first…I recognized a customer today and greeted him by his name. He asked how I remembered him and I told him his glasses were cool and memorable. He told me that he’d remembered me too because I had “kind eyes”. It made my day 🥰

A regular wrote me a thank you card and bought me D&G Light Blue fragrance 💕 they always come through my drive and they had a terrible day one time and mentioned that I made them feel better and now we always chat in the window about life and they never forgot how I made them feel cared about. So now they made me tear up yesterday because they bought me that knowing that’s my favorite perfume ever!

My first week working was my birthday week, and when a guest overheard my TL (I work at a tarbucks) tell me happy birthday, they came back with a box of really nice birthday chocolates for me and wished me happy birthday too 🥺

She was so sweet and I'll literally always remember that moment 🥰

I had someone say I made them the best flat white they’ve ever had and it made me so happy. It was just a standard flat white too so I’m glad they liked it that much 🥰

We are by an elementary school. This girl had one of those paper crowns that kids make on her head. I told her how much I loved it. She didn’t hesitate, she took it off and handed it to me! Then she asked me if we could be best friends. She has since come back once and given me another paper crown. I love my new bestie!

That is just so wholesome 😭

It was my first shift at my new store store and I was on POS
This store is like
A lot better than my last
So when I was cashing people out, this customer was looking down and kinda stuttering, so I patiently waited and nodded and asked questions so their drink was put down right
Finally she looks up and says
“I really like this store, everyone is so friendly and I feel safe here. Thank you”
And I started saying thank you and that she’s so sweet
Then she noticed my squishmallow tattoo and started raving about it!
We chatted for a bit and she said thank you again and that she loves us
“We love you too!”

I love these positive threads! The other day a regular told me he's always glad to see me because I'm beautiful and he "can tell that I have a good heart." It made my day.

I had a group of theatre kids serenade me from the drive though when I gave them their lattes. That was fun

I live in a very conservative county in a very conservative state. I'm trans, came out two years ago and left my family with no warning. (I left a note, explaining I loved them, but I just had to do this so I could survive.) This was at the very beginning of the pandemic, and though I've done alright, it's been a lonely road, if I'm being honest. Worked a lot, lived in a lot of crowded, less than ideal situations , worked more, got top surgery, went on HRT, the works. I don't present particularly masculine at work because I don't consistently pass yet and don't want to deal with all of that bull on top of my normal tasks. I just let guests and coworkers make whatever conclusions they need to draw and get on with my life. It's enough, I tell myself. I feel better because of HRT and top surgery. My friends know who I am. I don't need to demand customers-- mostly conservative, blue-striped-flags-and-red-hats-types know.

Still kind of hurts, though. I gave up a lot for this.

Few months back, a gent named Francisco starts showing up in our cafe. He's got a pierced ear, and I haven't seen gay people since I had to quit college (No, not even in a starbucks), so I'm maybe a little extra nice to him. One day I ask him what he's reading, and learn he's a professor who just moved. Over the next few weeks we chat a little bit, and one day he asks me if my name is \_really\_ the one on my nametag, or if there's something else I'd prefer. It was a little gesture, but it meant a lot. He used the name I told him every time he visited since. I got covid over Christmas and had to quarantine, but when I got back one of my coworkers said a man had been looking for me, and given me a card. He wrote a note thanking me for showing him kindness in a tumultuous part of his life, and how it was a comfort in this area. I wish I'd been around to tell him the same. I hope he's doing ok wherever he is now. Still have the note.

these two little girls in drive through, they looked like they were having a sleepover or something, ordered two frappachinos a bit before close. when one of them handed me her mom's card she asked if she could give us a tip on the card. I said "oh no I'm sorry, we only do cash tips." they said okay and I closed the window to grab their drinks. when I opened it back up the two girls had scrounged up two whole dollars between them and very proudly presented these crumpled bills to me. I thanked them profusely and gave them their drinks, then proceeded to melt over the interaction on headset once they had left

*“I haven’t seen you in a while! (vacay) I was asking around and they said people got promotions and went to other stores and I was just thinking to myself ‘God, I really hope she’s the one that stays!’ It’s good to see you!”*
Idk that really made my day, Mary 🥹🥹

2 Women, Likely college students pulled up while I was at window. I did the usual, took their payment and everything, And before they drove off one of them said “Great Customer service, I can hear the whole hearted kindness in your voice.” I said thank you, and of course my shy, socially anxious 15 y/o ass was flustered. Really a good interaction though.
