Honestly the only reason I even took this job was because of the benefits of having a lot of hours to work with. Even when I first started my boss told me about how I’d have hours if I needed it and nowadays I find myself having to get a second source of income just to be able to pay for my rent. Idk if I should just quit at this point but it’s driving me insane.

I dont work for starbucks. I just like listening to peoples customer service woes. But does starbucks let you shop hop? Like if you arent getting hours can you pick up a shift at another shop?

You can, only if your manager lets you but it seems that all the Starbucks around my area (I live in Los Angeles) are getting their hours reduced very significantly. A bunch of cafe locations are having their hours cut earlier so only drive thru locations are still open after a certain time.

You don’t need approval from your manager. You can pick up shifts.
