The smell gives me a migraine and I have tasted it, like I said, I don't like it in tea and can't imagine it in coffee. I'm not a fan of certain coffees for the same reason, like Ethiopian for example, not a fan of the overly floral and perfume like notes. Worked as a barista since 16, Starbucks thankfully only making for 6 months of my decade-ish time as a coffee wench, working for a corporate company almost killed my love for it. 🤷‍♀️ Everyone has their own taste preferences, gods forbid I don't want to drink perfume 😂

It’s true, but it’s definitely limited. I don’t always feel like having a hot tea (mint majesty or peach tranquility). I’m more of a refresher person, so it’s sucks that I can’t have any of them and the only ice tea I can have is passion tango. Even the decaf espresso has a little bit of caffeine in it. On my breaks and when ordering in the store I try not to bother people with complicated orders, but my favourite drink I would make is an iced mint majesty with vanilla syrup or an iced peach tranquillity with raspberry syrup. I would make it myself but my store doesn’t allowed that. I used to make more fun custom drinks when I was allowed to make my drink during slow times

There is literally nothing gluten free certified either! Or vegan! I have 2 co workers who are gluten intolerant and they have to bring there lunch from home and their food mark-outs go to friends

Your coworkers can mark out the evolution juices if they so desire as their "food" markouts! I do those for my markouts due to dietary restrictions and like throwing it together into a smoothie with strawberry puree sometimes.

We have had two in my time at the bux. We used to have a flourless chocolate chip cookie and then the gluten-free sandwich. It was packed in its own bag that we didn't open so there was no cross-contamination from the tongs or oven. It was Canadian bacon on a gluten free English muffin I want to say.

Both were discontinued. It's pretty sad.

I think Starbucks should pay for employee ideas instead of having it written into their terms that drinks employees come up with are free game

As an aside I will occasionally buy lavender syrup to bring to work so my coworkers can make blonde lavender oatmilk lattes so I can attest that these are good, unless you get shitty lavender syrup that tastes like soap

Yeah, I don't remember the wording of it when I signed on but it was something about the drink concepts made in store are property of Starbucks, regardless of who comes up with it.

So every time they announce that they want barista ideas I kind of roll my eyes because I know nobody will be compensated but the company will make money off of it

I used to work at a tea shop! Earl Grey is generally just bergamot oil and black tea leaves, however the one we use does have lavender in it as well. I’ve tried our earl grey and the lavender is very weak imo
