My SM continues to verbally abuse my partners and I but today he took it too far. One of my partners who happens to have a broken arm was physically pushed twice in one day by our SM because she was in his way and he gets in these moods where it is like he had steam coming out of his ears. We tried to simply google the number to call to report workplace violence but apparently it is unavailable. Does anyone have a good number to report it? Thanks in advance

There are 2 numbers Global security for issues with partner safety and violence 206-318-5400
Business Ethics 800-611-7792
I am so sorry you are both going through this. This is unacceptable behavior for anyone to have to deal with in any facet of life . I hope these numbers help.

Hope he gets fired. I’ve thought about reporting my coworkers for screaming at me and other coworkers in front of customers. Yesterday a coworker backed into me because she was walking backwards while talking. She proceeds to yell at me for not telling her I was there but I was literally trying to get her attention to tell her that she was about to hit me but she was too busy chatting about non work related topics. We were at the window and the customer goes “wow, well that wasn’t very nice! I would have said something”. Yelling at each other seems to be an issue at my store but if someone put their hands on me I would defend myself

A coworker at my store was fired just for calling someone a dick on the floor. And the person deserved the name well. Unfortunately for her, our store had just had everyone sign a printout that they understood that any swearing on the floor was immediate grounds for termination. (I believe this is a company-wide policy, but probably isn't strictly enforced in most cases.)

I’m extremely work appropriate. I don’t see a need or excuse for anyone to be yelling at anyone unless the store is on fire or something of that nature. If I’m at work I’ve got my professional work face on and I don’t drop my mask until I get in my car and pass the first stop light. I’ve been a manager at a different restaurant and we ran things very differently. If I caught an employee speaking to another employee like some of my coworkers speak to people I would be coaching them as soon as it happened but if they did it in front of the customers they’d be fired. And we actually have been getting reviews for months before I even started there saying certain baristas were rude and unfriendly to customers and to each other. We had 2 baristas and a ssv who I’ve noticed have communication issues. One of the baristas left. I think her problem was stress. She would get stressed and throw other baristas under the bus when an order got messed up or we were super busy and there was a wait. I heard her tell a customer that she was the only competent employee working at our store. Five other baristas turned and death stared her. She couldn’t just say “sorry about that” or “sorry for your wait”, she had to point fingers at whoever she felt was to blame. The SSV who yells also seems to do it when stressed and at least she has apologized for it but still, not acceptable for anyone especially someone in a supervisor position imo. She got customer reviews saying that she was rushing customers and was curt and that she slung people’s food out without greeting them or anything, just “take your food and leave” and I think it’s funny because that’s exactly what she says when they’re gone and she tells workers to throw the food out as fast as they can to stay under time and then she yells at them when they take too long even if they’re just waiting on a big order of food or counting out $32 in ones and quarters or remaking a iced shaken espresso that was supposed to be made hot or whatever the reason is. A good supervisor is encouraging without needing to yell or say hurtful things to employees. If they’re bad enough that you’d feel the need yell then you just need to let them go completely before it comes to that. But I’m not going to be there much longer so it’s not going to be something I’ll have to deal with. Starbucks may want to know why that store is having such high turnover rates though. I’ve watched several people not come back in after their first week of work there and I can’t say that I blame them
