Signing it is only saying that you awknowledge that the write up HAPPENED. Not that you agree to the write up itself.
That being said... You'll have a harder time fighting your write up now, but beyond that, it may be escalated to beyond a write up because the whole point of write ups are documented corrective action. If you fail to awknowledge that... It's not good.
Don't really have advice for you. I'm too stoned for this. But good luck my man, maybe chat with dm? If they're not rude?

what if i report to HR?

If the SM violated laws or sbux rules, or if you have witnesses that can attest to YOUR side of the story. Then I'd say go to HR.

I wrote “refused to sign” on mine with my initials

I don’t think so.. don’t sign anything you don’t agree with!

There’s a section on the corrective action form that is blank space for you to report your version of the event (or lack thereof) that led to the write up. Yes- you should sign it, but definitely utilize that space and then request a copy signed by you and your SM before you leave

I did not sign. i ended up telling them that i refuse to sign under duress. and that i am being punished unfairly. they were hella pissed after.
