What is the full rule on food mark out, because Up until now I only work one day a week and have been marking out food for everyday I wasn’t here. But I was recently told I can’t do that. Can someone please explain. (self.starbucksbaristas)

just 7 food markouts a week. You just have to get them while you're working. I'm pretty sure you can get all 7 at once.

That’s what I thought but I was told differently today so I was just like “oh”😳 okay and was able to get away with just 3 mark outs

No u can do 7 mark outs each week if ur in the US at least. U can get one during ur shift on the first day that week and also get a food mark out on ur 2nd shift day and for the third, u can do a third food markout during that day and then before u leave, ur aloud to take the remaining 4 food markouts all at once. Or if u dont eat food from work on ur shifts, then u can take home all 7 at once

Then u can get a food item that day for ur break and take 6 items with u when u leave. Or if u dont eat the food there on ur breaks, just take home 7 items with u when u go

There have been a few people on here recently who have said our policy is no longer offering 7 mark outs per week (where we can take 7 total per week, only at our own stores, only on days we are working- can be 7 in one day, can be 3 one day, 4 the next, etc…) but I cannot find that information anywhere. As far as my SM (and other SM’s in my district) knows as well, this policy has not changed.
I have looked through every resource I can and I have not found this policy to have changed yet. If anyone has specifics on if there was a change I’d appreciate the info.

Technically speaking from what I remember you can look where the update went from 1 a day to 7 a week said it ended on whatever date Jan maybe. Buuuuuut no one really stopped nor told me to 7 a week sooo I keep doing that haha

I asked my SM but they said theres been no official statement from corporate stating it has ended the way they did with the 1drink and 1 food item even on your days off and other covid benefits. Therefore they said its still ongoing until further notice from corporate, and they as SMs have also not received notice that partners can only markout during their shifts and it still shows up as a covid benefit on partner hub so they said we can use the benefit until the company states in a weekly update that we can't.

I remember them specifically saying on a weekly update that if you have extra of the 7 markouts, to mark all the ones that you haven't gotten out before you leave your last shift of the week. Idk why they would tell you otherwise.

7 food items a week. They can be marked out all in one day if you only work one day. They have to be marked out on the days that you work

How do they monitor the food mark out? I’ve always wondered this. When it was (or if it still is) 7/week how do they know if I have.
What about when I go to another store and they hit the mark out button instead of discount (have had this happen twice recently) I don’t really care I just don’t want to get in trouble.

I have no idea, I think they expect us to keep track of ourselves??? , I only one day at most 2. So it’s not hard to keep track.

The 7/week was taken away I believe in February. If you Check the Starbucks website it’s on there under benefit
