First I wanna preface that I'm not arguing whether the slap was right or wrong. I don't even like the smith's but the incident has brought out a ton of anti blackness and racism. Also I don't know the race of OP and black people are not a monolith but my response is a little widely agreed upon.

This situation is tiring and turned into open season of anti black jokes. Everything from Judd Apatow calling Will unhinged and out of control and acting like he beat him on stage. To mostly white women trying to make this about some sort of abuse they faced that had nothing to do with it. It was dogwhistling and signaling. Jada eve got called a bitch and mocked by white male celebrities despite not saying a word the whole incident. Alopecia is the result usually of an autoimmune disease which she revealed she had and was sensitive about it. And for black women it does not feel great for a black man to mock you in front of your peers about your hair.

. But nobody seemed to understand or care that Chris Rock has apparently been targeting and poking at Jada since the 90s when she rejected his advances back then. He's been targeting her hard-core for years. Now people are treating Chris Rock like a martyr and demonizing Will Smith. And as usual people have turned black emotions/incidents into memes/a joke. It's just uncomfortable to see once again non black people criticizing and harping on black people and culture and then to see this even in the work place.

That's my piece and just my view on it. But I won't argue on it. Hopefully this cleared up what I meant.
