Hello! I'm a new SSV and am looking for guidance on best practices and efficient ways to read and use the DCR. Any and all insight is greatly appreciated ❤️

Write your labor deployment for peak out on the bottom of the page coded by partner name/position. Use the bars across from partner names, they will help you keep track of what time you should be running breaks. Use the numbers at the bottom of the page to predict how busy you will be by the hour based on last year’s metrics. Good luck on your SSV path. Remember to keep a positive attitude and remain present on your shifts

Being present on your shifts means being physically there for your partners, providing for them everything they need like restocks, ice, fresh sanitizer, etc. And being present also means that you are aware of how your shift is running, if there's a slow down somewhere that's called a bottleneck so how do you fix it? Do you switch your play and reposition people or who/how can you flex in (jump in) to help that bottleneck.
When I first started that's the biggest thing I was told I wasn't doing, being present. It messed with my head for a bit because I always checked in on partners and asked what they needed but I didn't know Starbucks and was too new. You got this!

Thank you for the further breakdown of what it means to be present as an SSV! I think I would have a similar experiencing hearing that feedback.
I asked my team prior to promoting about the greatest pain points they have experienced with an SSV and many shared frustrations about bottlenecks and burnout. Your feedback adds further emphasis on what they shared. Thank you again!!

Is it weird I actually abbreviate the positions and write them inside the bars on the schedule? 😂
I end up with a bunch of really tiny F, W, DT, BR, CF, CB, CS written inside the bars as I move people around

This is a great idea! Prior to promoting, I asked co-workers what they disliked most about working with various SSVs and burnout from working in the same role throughout the day was one of the highest common frustrations.

Thank you so much for the reminder to be positive and present!
Would you mind explaining what you mean about labor deployment for peak and how you would code by partner?
