If every customer tipped at least ONE PENNY per drink imagine how much more tips we would get… my store can make hundreds of drinks and end up with $5 after a whole day.

I feel like if they could tip on card or through the app we’d make a lot more. Tips have greatly decreased in this post-Covid mostly cashless society. Back in the day my old store would make $1-$1.50/hour worked for each person. So 30 hours was about $30! And that was during a slow week. It was usually more. Now at my new store in this second Starbucks tour of mine I think it averages around $0.60/hour worked. Sad.

I think my asm and sm were talking about the card tip actually being put into place. The problem is that they have to change out all the card machines I think. So expensive af for a system that “doesn’t benefit the company” aka corporate once again doesn’t care about us lowly baristas
