Accidental no call no show (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Altruistic-Stick4015
so this is my fourth week working at Starbucks, I didn’t know that the notifications for the app could possibly come late so I got a notification about work on Monday on tuesday (I originally didn’t work Monday) and I also got removed from one of my shifts this week as well. I already know that no call no show is bad but would I get fired because I’m so new?

I would just tell your SM about this , I’m sure it’s an honest mistake

no you won’t be fired. they can’t expect you to have the app. write up at worst but I doubt it in this situation

Did they change the schedule for your shift? If so they should have let you know. Tell your manager what happened, at most it’ll be a citation (not a biggie really) but most likely a “coaching moment” where your manager has you sign a paper that.says you accept that what happened was wrong and you accept your manager addressing and coaching you on what to do if this happens again. Basically a warning and if this becomes a regular thing then there is a problem.
