Don’t be afraid to make yourself and your baristas a task list. It’s a lot to keep straight, and it can be rough when something slips through the cracks - get ahead of it by writing it down if you want or need to. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t ever skip your breaks - it’s sometimes tempting and may even seem necessary at times, but it’s not, and if it is, it’s not your fault and you shouldn’t suffer for it.

Hello I’m a SSV going on a year, something no one talks about is the balance between pleasing management and being in good standing with the team. Remember who you work with daily, put the baristas first. It’s easy to fall into helping with new responsibilities with ur SM or ASM but don’t try to create a wave of change for them. If that makes any sense, just do everything to support ur baristas they will notice and have your back

Congrats! I’m sure you’ll do amazing. When I first started I would get overwhelmed but id say take it day by day, everyone will make mistakes at first but learning from them and moving on is what matters. Definitely ask questions, its better to speak up and clarify information instead of messing up when u had the opportunity to find out the answer. Ive also seen alott of people at my store step down but I’m a couple months in and I honestly really like it
