hey guys, 298**** partner here and i dragged my sorry ass to work early to talk to my manager abt how sick i feel rn. i have worked for him for abt a year and a half. my head feels like it weighs 300 pounds, im so fucking weak, im having fever chills, and i explain this to him while literally shaking and he goes “well, good luck.” now im crying in my car 10 min before i start frfr wondering if i should jus quit now :((

You just have to call and say you’re ill and will not be in to work. It’s other peoples job to find coverage, not yours.

If you have a fever you can’t be there. Plain and simple. That’s actually very dangerous for your entire store. Next time don’t even go in, just call. Were you able to go home op?

i'm sorry but this is also on you. your mgr is awful but you're going into work still while fully knowing you're ill with a fever and are exposing your coworkers to whatever you've got. just call out, that's the responsible thing to do

i get it. i told everyone there and wore two masks to protect everyone as much as i could. you are totally right though, by coming in i expected my manager to see i wasnt messing around. we have had multiple people call out recently for being “sick” and theyve shown up on social media not sick. but i shouldnt have to prove that let alone come in. it wont happen again
