Are you supposed to charge for substituting different milks in shaken espressos?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by EllaCgot2P
For example if someone wants cream instead of 2% do you charge them for breve?

Yes you charge, shaken espressos are now considered ‘made with milk’ not just a splash on top, you also are supposed to fill it to the top even if they ask for light ice unlike when it first came out

There was a weekly update a while back that for nondairy, breve, and heavy cream, we are supposed to charge.

That’s absurd. It gets less milk than an iced coffee with milk lol

lol im cool with it being absurd because this is what’s going to support our pay raises. in my opinion more modifications, more you pay

It's corporate policy, if you do not agree then take it up with corporate. 🙂

yeah it automatically does it on the app so i think we are
Xiptus8 points1y ago
In theory, yes. If they’re nice I’ll just hit the 1/2“ button

Yes. Because someone figured out it was cheaper to order a regular SE with the brown sugar syrup, cinnamon, and oatmilk than to order the BOSE. so they added a charge for cinnamon and decreed you had to charge for a milk sub to discourage people from doing that.
it was in a weekly update a couple weeks after the launch of those drinks.

Maybe something changed recently, I thought it was not charge per a weekly update? And I actually think if you DO try and charge it still doesn't charge. Could be wrong and I'm not at work at the moment.

Less than 4oz no anything over yes according to policy unless they changed it.

I asked my SM and she said no because it’s just a topper, I asked if she was sure and she said yes

That’s wrong. In a weekly update a while ago, they mentioned we had to charge for substitute milks. If you were to order it on the app, it would charge you extra
VenusInFirs-3 points1y ago
I don’t think it does if you do seeing as it’s supposed to be 4oz of milk or less anyways.

We are supposed to charge for the milk. It was in a weekly update a while ago
