Ever since my coworker told me the girls try to get me to do their errands just baffles me. Recently ago, I was on my 10. A coworker came down, opened the fridge and told me to grab the milks after my 1\`0 **(I had 6 minutes left and you were already near the fridge, why don't you get them?).** Another time I offered to the drains cause both girls were complaining and didn't want to touch the soft fruits to lo and behold they be trying to guilt me to do it, constantly. Lastly, when assisting on bar, of course I be hit to do the frapps because **"It's too much"**
Honestly, I'm all for giving a helping hand BUT DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY KINDNESS!! If you don't want to do this or that; either change positions or just leave. You know what you signed up for if been here for more than 3 months.

the only time i ask one of the guys for help is when something is on a high shelf and i don’t want to/can’t run to the back to get a stool.
but, as the only person that volunteers to do the “gross” tasks or help out with cold bar people absolutely take advantage of it. if someone is actually struggling i have no problem helping out, but if you’re caught up and cry for help on cold bar because someone ordered a single frap and one other drink i’m literally going to tell you to suck it up lol

Same, I'm one of the only tall guys there so of course I would grab the high-end stuff. But for frapps. If I help you and volunteer to do Ice and the rush dies, DON'T give me a single frapp order when you're not steaming any milks, etc. THE RUSH DIED DOWN SO YOU CAN MANAGE A SINGLE CARAMEL FRAPP, AlOnE!

people were doing this to me today! we were ridiculously slow today and the barista on bar w me would silently hand me her fraps. under the impression that since i’m cleaning my area (even though there wasn’t really anything to clean lol) i’d be fine doing her cold bar. i was like “yeah, no. do ur own shit”

same dude!! i have this one coworker who only works on bar but refuses to do ANYTHING. she’ll have one drink on bar and pester me to restock her lids, ice, and grab her some more milk while im doubling warming and reg. i try to be nice to her bc she’s new and a lot of ppl gossip about her at my store but honestly im starting to see what they mean. luckily she already quit bc she couldn’t handle all the gossip lol. (she has been working for a month longer than me so incase ppl think i hate green beans when im one myself..)

I was assigned to do POS today, I seen my coworker got slammed so I decided to step off and help her. Lo and behold my shift unassigned me off reg and somehow put her on register instead. So I was on bar for the following 6 hours. My coworker could tell that I was stressed in which I agreed and to behind I hear the girl who was SUPPOSE TO BE ON BAR doing a lil "hehehe" laugh.
I was tight too cause when she was on bar she would give me drinks with the shots but won't add the milk! (Had two ice flat white's and she put in the shots but no milk even though her fridge HAD MILK!)
And of course she was commentating on how much time left before she clocks out, Oh I don't want to restock, MANNNN I WANNA QUIT!,etc.
I told my Manager this today cause I don't know if this is her way of "Joking" cause I said straight up if she pull that b.s on me again, Imma take the write up cussing her out.

it’s a constant struggle, i ask some women to do some tasks and they’ll roll their eyes and tell me to ask a man to do it instead and i’m just stunned. like the floors and bathrooms are not gender exclusive just do it.

I (95% of the time THE ONLY GUY) takes out the trash when closing. I heard my shift asked a girl to do it once and in which I heard "Eww no, let Memes do it." in which I had to. -\_-

Just say no, I ask around everyone and if everyone says no, I just do it bc I’m the SSV. Honestly f’d up that you’re expected to, I would start refusing if I were you.

when i first started at sb there was a girl a couple years older than me (both in high school) who would tell people “if you don’t want to do something just make (my name) do it.” she would also constantly talk behind everyone’s backs and when she was promoted to trainer i heard her talking about how “annoying” her trainee was (her trainee was a LOVELY person/barista). she was the only person to ever get fired by our manager

i only ask the guys to open the egg bites for me sometimes 😅 but unfortunately i can’t do drains because my gag reflex is so sensitive i WILL throw up. i almost puked just cleaning the hobart 😭
