Non-Coverage? What is that? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by TripleV420
Hello fellow baristas. I got my first official schedule! Yay!

I noticed however from 9AM-10PM I’m listed as non-coverage; what does that mean? Is it just in case it gets a little hectic and they need someone just in case?

Probably for your training! They schedule non-coverage for those who need to train or need to complete “off-floor” duties. Congratulations!

Thank you!

aside from what everyone else mentioned, it also means you won’t receive tips for those hours.

Assuming that’s a typo and just an hour of non cov it’s likely your manager following up. They are supposed to do a little check in with how training went and generally skill check you. I had to make a latte for mine.
