my store manager does this really cute thing where one week i’m scheduled 20+ hours and the next week i’m scheduled 19 hours. does that affect my benefits? ):

So long as you maintain an average of 20 hours during the benefit period you will still qualify for benefits

After your initial 3 months to obtain benefits, once you have them they are evaluated twice a year (I’m pretty sure it’s January & July) to make sure you have obtained the total number of hours. Since I’ve worked for Starbucks that number has been lower due to covid, so who knows when that will return to the old number. So if you look at your paystub and see you’re way off track you can try picking up shifts, but my guess is you should be good.

Nope. It’s an average. And for the last 2 ish years it’s been like 17.5 hours not 20 because of COVID anyway.
