Cold brew in a licensed store (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by LobsterOk1049
So I work in a licensed hotel Starbucks and they have been running it with no Starbucks experience. I used to work at a corporate one so I know how to make all the drinks on the menu and the ingredients they require. The only one I’m not sure about is the cold brew. So do any of you guys have any idea of the whole cold brew process ? I have to tell the manager what to buy from the brewer to the beans. Any suggestions help

Is there no one you can reach out to? I would feel nervous about posting all this information on a publis forum. You should still have a corporate district manger.

I am in constant contact with the manager of the hotel, who is in contact with the owners of the hotel. She just tells me she knows nothing about Starbucks. They have relied on my knowledge to order everything. They even had the wrong beans in the expresso machines (they were using house blend). I don’t know how other licensed stores run as this is my first one.

Call a coporate store lmao. Seriously, I did this about a week ago. "Hey Im sorry, this is gonna sound dumb af, but we're a licensed store and I feel like Im missing something with the new cold brewer. Gotta second?" The guy was super nice and was like sure hold on minute and I got you. As long as you dont get a dick, or the store youre calling isnt slammed, should be no problem.

The thing is we also don’t even have a brewer I’ll have to ask what kegs they use too 😂

Omg wow! Being a licensed store is bizarre dude, youre on your own, no one knows how to do anything starbucks related but youre still expected to answer to them. I actually quit last week. The main store manager told me she had no interest in learning how to help us and they made a girl we were training work all day just to fire her, wasting everyone's time. Nope. Done.

Well they autoshipped the new ones to us a couple weeks ago so one might show up. Cold brew coffee comes in its own 5lb bags. (And I still feel like I missed something because it does not seem to make anything easier and how much money did they blow fixing something that wasnt broken.)

The manager literally orders everything so I think I even need to get a comercial keg. They basically have me calling the shots cause I’m the only one who knows what I’m doing. It’s not to bad though so I think I’ll stay for the meanwhile. Since it’s a bistro inside of a hotel I don’t really feel overwhelmed.
