i've been meaning to use some PTO because I'm going out of town soon, and I went to go check my paystub and it said I have 0 hours? i've been with starbucks for almost a year now, and last i checked i had at least 7 hours of PTO left to use.
does your PTO reset every once in a while or something? where did those remaining hours I had left go?
(i am still a freshly turned adult and very new to all of this, so please be patient if this is a dumb question TT)

I’m pretty sure you don’t start accruing vacation time until one year of employment. Sick time accrues after three months. Maybe your states laws are different tho idk I’d talk to your SM

i was able to use vacation hours prior (i wasn't the one who marked it in though, it's a bit of a long story!), do you think i was i told incorrectly and was using sick hours instead?

No, you can take time off, but it just won’t be paid. And if you do have vacation time you don’t have to use it to take time off unless you want to. By default it’s unpaid unless you communicate with your SM.

I started the end of January so I'm just coming up on 3 months and I have sick time accrued.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure you have to be with the company for a full year before being eligible for PTO. I’m new tho so I could be wrong, but I’m fairly sure that’s what me and my manager talked about.

sick hours start accumulating from day one, vacation hours don’t start accumulation until you’ve been with sbux for one year

You don't just randomly lose any PTO as a barista in any state, as far as I know. My first guess is that it's a glitch of transitioning to the new partner info site that they're in the process of. But it is worth asking about. If you didn't use it, you should still have it.

It doesn’t reset from what I know, I’d talk to your manager about it. You’ve earned those hours so you should be able to use them.
