16 is already so much. But ordering THIRTY EIGHT? Bruh

And that's why my store turns off merchandise on mobiles :)

Same. It’s annoying enough when they try to buy them in the drive thru.

Lol just cancel the order. Like why tf does she need 38 cups 😂
zattydaddy 14 points 1y ago
We have a customer that comes in and buys hella cups bc she has a business customizing them

Is passing someone a cup too much work now?
angora44 14 points 1y ago
no but if you try to order almost 40 fucking cold cups to hoard or resell or whatever and the store your pestering only has like 15 and you go in and have a temper tantrum because we can’t manifest more cups with our mystical starbucks barista powers, it’s really fucking annoying and rude 😁 not to mention how much of a time suck an order like that is when we have other mobiles, cafe drinks, and drive through. So. No it’s not the cup bestie

I never understood why people order these cups online. Half of the time my store didn’t have them in stock so people would come and get mad like, just come in to see which cups we have.🤦‍♀️
mewwissa 10 points 1y ago
People would do it at my store to customize them and sell them on Etsy or Facebook or whatever. 🙄 and then they’d get mad when we didn’t have enough and ask if we could start ordering more for them…like no. We are not your “supplier.” Reach out to Starbucks with your business model and see if they help you out. 🙄

I don’t understand the mobile-ordering cups.. we don’t have a massive stock in the back.. what we have up front in our display is what we have. Most of the time people come in and buy all of them as soon as we put them out anyway

Can't imagine the meltdown
ProfessionalRock7940 3 points 1y ago
We always have them marked out because it's easier lol

Why are you always complain about anything? What does it matter if somebody wants 10 100 or 1000 cups. It's a funny anecdote and memory. Stay positive guys :(

They don’t have enough to fulfill the order. And unfortunate not everyone is understanding about the number of items we have in stock. So sometimes they get belligerent. Starbucks stores really aren’t equipped to handle merchandise orders of this volume. It was easier when there was a website to refer people to, but they’ve taken that down.

We have to put the lids on the cups and the hot cups have a tight fit so it doesn't spill (so the first time you put it on its really difficult) and if they're the $3 cold cups we also have to put the straw in the lids (its a hassle to fit the straws in the small hole with the straws individual packaging that we can't take off) no big deal if its for like up to 6 cups but after that it'll take several minutes. At the same time we're getting drink & food orders. Oh and we never have enough staff.
