Ahh yes 👏 beautiful i told some of my baristas instead of going on their phone to practice making these and they’ll get to do some latte art
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 18 points 1y ago
I bought a pointy pitcher which makes it easier to do latte art, to try and motivate non-coffee masters in my store to get started on latte art! I personally really enjoy doing it and I would hope more barista’s would start practicing!

I was truly considering buying a pitcher so I could make better latte art but I wasn’t sure if it was insane 😄
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 3 points 1y ago
This one was made with the standard Starbucks pitcher, but with a pointy pitcher you can make more defined art, I’d definitely recommend buying one if you’re serious about latte art!

Howwwww are you doing this with the standard pitchers?!?
Babeygoo 2 points 1y ago
where did u get ur pitcher !!
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 3 points 1y ago
At a Local specialty coffee shop!

Damnnnnn I wish I can do that
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 3 points 1y ago
Lots of practice ;)
A few tips:
use whole milk,
use the flattest mug you can find,
even though I made this with the standard not-so-pointy Starbucks pitcher, use the pointiest pitcher you can find!
Hope this helps

I can only make hearts lol
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 1 points 1y ago
well this tulip is basically 4 hearts on top of eachother… tulip is easier to learn than rosetta imo
Necessary_Low939 1 points 1y ago
The wiggle is hard. I’m saying I can only make basic hearts.
herpaslurp 3 points 1y ago
after youve got your milk texture down, it all comes down to the wiggle
Necessary_Low939 2 points 1y ago
Wiggle is the hardest part
herpaslurp 2 points 1y ago
firm grip, slightly loose wrist

Nicely done, bravo. 👏

I've been practicing, and they're getting better but all our 'for here' mugs have 'disappeared' (things in our store have a tendency to sprout feet, story for another day). I'm hampered by our pitchers and practicing in paper cups, working opens and always peak doesn't help either. 😂 Seeing this though, I think it's time to break down and buy my own pitcher.

This one was done with the standard starbucks pitcher! The mug is what matters the most for me. A papercup is possible but if you are a beginner try to find the flattest mug you can find, so you can get closer to the surface with you pitcher.
Good luck!

Does that mug have 2 handles?! And also beautiful detail on the art 👌
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 2 points 1y ago
It looks like it but it has only 1 handle😅 I think what you’re seeing is some spilled milk😁 Thanks btw!
Responsible_Snow7109 1 points 1y ago
Of course lol thats some talent rite there! And yes lmao i literally thought that was a second handle. But that's a perfectly mug handle shaped spilled milk lolol
VeterinarianSalt8322 [OP] 2 points 1y ago
I can’t unsee it now😭
Responsible_Snow7109 1 points 1y ago
