So. Starbucks buys Mastrenas from Thermoplan.(self.starbucksbaristas)

Thermoplan is a German company in Sweden. I always wondered why the grinder has german words on it and a Swedish address but now I know why.
Starbucks doesn't need anyone in corporate who knows German to communicate with them? C'mon!
Anyway. I just emailed them about getting my hands on a Mastrena II manual and would have browsed around by myself but then I saw an opportunity to speak German or English and contact them...I emailed them in German and English.
I really need my foreign language skills to do SOMETHING. You can't tell me I studied this for five years just to have it as a random skill I will never use or apply. 😆

Just came across this post and although someone already called you out on this, I‘m going to try to correct you. More politely than the other person of course. Thermoplan is a company based in Weggis, Switzerland, a small country in central Europe. Many people, mostly Americans confuse this with Sweden, a country in northern Europe. German is, along with Italian, French and Rumansh, one of the four official languages in the country. As to why Starbucks doesn’t need someone in corporate who knows german: Most people in Switzerland will know english and speak it fluently, thus Starbucks can communicate with Thermoplan in english.

Lol whoever commented on this obsessively for the primary objective to argue and provoke me and get even angrier when I wouldn't respond...I don't talk to mean people. You might be right, but you wont get my attention by insulting me. Sorry.

No response?

You got this mixed up quite a bit… Thermoplan is a SWISS (Switzerland) company. There are four languages in Switzerland, german being the most common one. Sweden is like 700 miles north of Switzerland.

Did you think Starbucks manufactured our machines? We're a fast food cafe, not a manufacturer lol

No but I did not know the name of the company that makes the Mastrena is named Thermoplan. I was trying to find a Mastrena website and I couldn't find it and that's when I learned the company that makes Mastrena is called Thermoplan, do I think that Starbucks made that machine themselves, no. Thanks for stopping by to be pretentious, I really appreciate it
