Joke that “came off as racist” may just be a racist joke. I have ADHD too and you can still be in control of your words and actions. ADHD does not excuse racism. You will be treated like anyone else who made a racist joke at work, which is a super inappropriate thing to do.

Have you had any instances similar to this? Im a 3 year partner and have a great work ethic and never do this. Is it possible to simply have to go through sensitivity training and learn from it?

Yeah. It can still be taken as discrimination or harassment. If you don’t mind me asking, how bad was it? Did you explain to your partners that you did not mean it in a bad way and apologize?
MysticalGnar 2 points 1y ago
I instantly apologized to everyone as soon as it left my mouth, even apologized to the partners it could have applied to even though they weren’t there

I would consider taking the initiative to bring it up with your SM. Sometimes explaining the situation before someone else does it for you can help the severity. If you feel like nobody will report you and they are understanding, then maybe don’t bother and try to be more careful next time. It’s a tough one 🥲

I literally love my job and have been working towards SSV, so Im hoping my character shows through and they know this isn’t some big they’re a racist fire them thing

Hopefully!

Alright, OP got their answer - locking this because people are starting to get hostile.

Yes, you could be fired if somebody was offended and reports it. You can try talking to the SM about it, but that's up to you.
