Can someone tell me the right way to do these things?(self.starbucksbaristas)

My Starbucks is small and I’m back working at Starbucks after a few year break. I’ve gotten back into it quick. Though I have a few questions that my co workers all give me different answers for If someone asks for 2 flavor syrups, do you do 1/2 pumps for each or full pumps? How many pumps of syrup do vsccb and Bose get? Last but not least I thought whipped cream got 7 pumps of vanilla but my co workers say it’s only 2?

We got a lot to unpack here. For simplicity sake, I am assuming everything is Grande and standard recipe.
1. If someone asks for two syrups standard is full pumps, but that is obviously a lot so I will ask if they want to split and go 1/2 for each. For example: peppermint mochas get 4 of each unless stated otherwise.
2. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso (and Toasted Vanilla Shaken Espresso for that matter) are 2 full pumps or 4 half pumps. Since the shaken espressos are made in a tea shaker think of them as cold bar beverages and use half pumps.
3. The old whip cream recipe called for more vanilla, however it was changed not too long ago and now I belt it is actually 4 full pumps then heavy cream to the max line in a steaming pitcher.
All of these recipes can be found on the store ipads too, under the store resources app. It is super helpful and has settled many a debate in my time. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! My store is in a target so I have to rely on the drink cards but they don’t have the newer drinks. We also don’t have half pumps :( I used to work at a stricter Starbucks and I miss it a lot. None of my co workers know how to sequence or steam milk correctly. I don’t correct them though because I’m newer lol

Small correction! VSCCB (and SCCB) is nonstandard in pumps, so it’s 1-2-3-4 FULL pumps rather than 3-4-6-7 HALF pumps. So it’s similar but not exactly the same!

Beautifully put. Addresses everything and is correct!

If someone asks for 2 flavors, I usually just ask them if they want half the pumps because it’s a lot. VSCCB and BOSE I believe are half pumps. The BS should already have the half pump on it. Whipped Cream recipe just changed but I believe it’s 4 pumps of vanilla not 2.

This is correct. If it helps at all, named cold brews (if it has a syrup in the drink title), shaken espressos, and LCS in anything get half dose/cold bar pumps.

Hmm this is… all over XD. BOSE gets 4 half pumps. VSCCB gets 2 full pumps. Generally unless making a Frappuccino you should use full pumps for modifiers. Though when it comes to tea or “1 pump vanilla” in say idk BOSE idk if it’s 1 full or half pump. Same applies for teas and such idk 😭 if you find out lemme know haha
