Not allowed to have music in our store?? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey! So I’m at a licensed store and our building manager is kind of insane. He said playing music is unprofessional and actually took one of my coworkers phones bc we were playing music even though we have our own system set up and speakers. And the Starbucks manager and two other building managers said we’re supposed to have music.
He’s above them though and hates fun I guess???? We’re all in a good mood until he gets here and he picks on certain people for no reason (including me).
Literally just so done with him he makes me miserable but I love everyone else here so idk whatever

i know at corporate stores we have to play from the starbucks music app thing on the ipads because they have it licensed and also customers can see what we’re playing from their app. not sure about licensed stores though, i briefly worked at a licensed store and i don’t remember having music but it’s been a few years since i was there
