I'm with you, mainly because the people that order it are the ones that watch me like a damn hawk while making it. Never enough caramel sugar topping, apparently.

Didn't you know? The standard amount of caramel is half the cup and 1 whole crunchy bottle per drink.. You should really brush up on your recipe knowledge if you want to make the "always right" customers happy. They do pay our salary after all..🙄

our cold bar is parallel to the hand off counter so everyone waiting STARES at me from behind the entire time they wait and i feel like a zoo animal. and always trying to make special requests last minute

You work at Starbucks when we had the nut butter? The Almond Protein Blended Cold Brew.. We had to have a separate blender just for that drink because of nut allergies. The pump was such a pain in the ass to clean.. it also took a body builder to pump because it was so thick. So glad that is gone..
Do the people coming up with these drinks and recipes ever test them in a real Starbucks with real customers and other drinks to make?? Cause I'd like them to teach me their methods since they must be super baristas.

My least favorite thing is being on bar and doing a frappe and while I'm doing that some more come in, and every time it looks like I'm gonna be done someone in the drive thru orders like five at once and I roll the boulder to the top of the fucking hill again

And they are all different so you can't batch (not that we ever do that because it's against the rules..). When I first got hired they had Frappuccino happy hour and it was either buy one get one free or half off. My first time being on bar by myself after finishing training I got put on cold bar right when it started and the first order came from the drive thru for multiple Frappuccinos and I forgot to put the lid on the blender of the first I made. The cover saved me from the sugar splash zone, but it still went everywhere and I was down a blender until my amused and a tiny bit annoyed coworkers helped clean it up as I tried to continue to make an endless stream of Frappuccinos from in house and drive with one blender.. good times. I ended up really liking making them after I got the hang of it and made picture perfect ones pretty fast after a week or two. Then I was the weird one that enjoyed making Frappuccinos and would ask to be on cold bar all the time.

You expect customers to know what y’all have to go through to make each drink? We don’t work there

When they order 8 venti Caramel crunch in one order during peak (not going to mention that they want 2 shots in each with extra Carmel drizzle extra crunch with with wip made with sweet cream) they are are always the mercedes Benz sprinter van (when I'm on dtr I always help the bar 1 when they come in so I basically prep them and bar 1 finish them fun fact you can fit 2 venti Frappuccio comfortably in one blender 3 is pushing it but can be done)
