I’m at a pretty small DT store but without fail, every time I’m put on DTO, a customer ends up commenting on my voice and says things like “Aw you sound really sweet” or “you have such a nice podcast voice, you should go on the radio!” or “do you happen to have an AMSR channel I can listen to?” I’m a dude so it’s not like the customers are being flirty, I just don’t really know what to say in response back besides a quick thank you. While I do appreciate the compliments(?), it does make me feel a bit awkward and self-conscious that people comment on my voice. Does this happen to anyone else 💀 and how do you guys deal with it?

The only good thing that comes out of all this is that the customers always feel very generous and we get more tips than normal when I’m on DT (or so my shifts tell me).
