i get that it’s a nice thing to do but if you get audited by starbucks you’ll lose your job for doing that… i’ve seen it happen

I mean if the barista is a good customer as we all should be... I mean im not saying I ever did this but like maybe sometimes their order just got voided or canceled and went bye bye... and no one had to know i mean idk what happened their order just disappeared man🤷‍♀️🤫

mmmm yeah. not worth potentially losing my job over. i agree we should get free drinks regardless of if we’re working or not…but i’m not going to take a chance on getting someone in trouble to save a few bucks. if you’re going to use someone’s markout at least ask them first 💘

At my location if you mark another partner out you get your ass fired. We are all walking on egg shells.

If I went on my day off and saw I got a markout instead of a discount I would say something because I do not want to lose my job over misuse of my markout. You are absolutely putting people's jobs in danger by doing this as we are only allowed free drinks and food while at work, 30 minutes before, and 30 minutes after.

I guess i like to test my luck. But for me personally i always count how many markouts i have and its once in a blue moon that another barista actually marks it out. So, again just an appreciation post. Some times its the little things that make your day better.

idk why people are saying the person giving the numbers will get in trouble — it’s the person at the reg. it’s on them if they give you a free drink. but i also appreciate it when they do it, i always expect the discount only and always surprised when they tell me i’m good to go😭

I will not being doing this & hope no one does it for me. I wont risk my school tuition for someone to save a few bucks on a non-necessity. Take your bean markout and make coffee at home.

Just don’t use their numbers for a markout drink if they’re at the wrong store, you can cause them to lose their jobs. Just void it or use someone else’s numbers. Also be careful because corporate workers have numbers too so if you do this without knowing the person you can set yourself up to be fired

I’ve seen a partner use her own numbers on a till that was signed in to a different barista to mark out her friend’s drink after she told me “I’m still signed in but I need you to window, I know you have trouble with math so be careful”. I have dyscalculia but my IQ is higher than average but I just love how she thinks she’s so much smarter than me just because I have a known disability. I’m smart enough to notice she was giving her friends free stuff when our SSVs and SM hadn’t caught on

i feel bad for only doing discount but lowkey it makes me so nervous to do drink markout i only do it if i know them and i ask. since some shifts and stuff have done it for me before
