What days of the week are your SM's days off? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Your SM days off should be determined by the store environment. Some SMs prefer to have their days off align with the busiest days of the week, so since they’re working on the slower days they can get more stuff done/have uninterrupted conversations with partners as needed. On the other side, some SMs like myself for example, prefer to be there on the busy days to be of assistance. For me, the busiest days means the more partners are there, so the more people I get to see!

Now every SM should strive have mix their days off when possible. Work some busy days. Work some slow days. To be able to connect with ALL of your partners and not let anyone go a month without seeing their SM.

Long story short, there’s no perfect answer. But if you and your team feel unsupported and left out to dry by your SM, speak up! Your DM would love that feedback and I’m sure would love to step in and assist.

My SM works every weekend. Sometimes will go home early though if we have coverage.

My SM takes Sundays and Tuesdays off, and will sometimes do her admin day from home. She also works a ton and does everything she can to make sure we have coverage

Like CocaineConoisseur said, managers should be working to business needs. Something’s have to be done on certain days, like payroll and schedule have to be done on Monday so it’s very unlikely for them to have monday off. My SMs days are typically Wednesday or Thursday and Sunday. My SM never works on Sunday cuz she’s got church and she doesn’t want to work on Sunday. I think I’ve seen her work on Sunday like 5 times in my 2 years with the siren. But yeah main point is that it depends on the store but they should be working to store needs.

Every single weekend! She hasn't seen any of the partners who work only weekends in months unless they come on thier day off. Must be nice 😃

My SM hasn't had a day off in 3 months cuz she's running 2 stores right now without additional compensation. Some of our SMs are great, some suck. Pray for the good ones.

I take Sunday and Monday they are our slowest days. There are certain days I have to be there to make or receive orders. It's a kiosk so I am the only management and the only full time employee.

My SM works through peak, then is admin Monday-Friday, and runs shift on Saturdays. His only days out of the store are Sundays and whenever he calls out

It definitely shouldn’t be admin 5 days… most SMS have one admin day

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Woah what? Admin the entire week? What does his shifts say in the DCR?
Pitiful-Smoke-9547 1 points 1y ago
sometimes it says keyholder, but he's typing away at his computer in our cafe
stillwantthewhip 1 points 1y ago
If it says either keyholder or coverage then he’s part of your floor. He should be on his computer only during noncoverage time.
