So I get a frappacino about once a week because the closest store to me is about 45 minutes away. I do mobile ordering and always say no whip. Every damn time it’s got whip on it top and bottom. I just take it but it’s so aggravating that I pay $7.50 for a drink and it’s never right! I know they will remake it but how come they don’t see it says no whip and literally double the whip every time 🤦🏼♀️

Honestly, I’d say something about it at some point. There’s nothing wrong with you pointing out that your drink was made wrong, and as long as you don’t yell or throw the drink at an unsuspecting barista, they can’t complain about the mistake THEY made. Cuz yeah, must be aggravating, I sure would be.

Ok I just hate to be a Karen and I know they are busy. Lol
Rough-Reveal-476313 points1y ago
Lol don’t worry, yeah sometimes it’s a hassle if we have to redo the order, but that’s not the customer’s fault. A barista should take responsibility for mistakes like that anyways. I’ve definitely never had a problem with it as long as the customer is nice about it, good luck!

I’m a barista and I do genuinely feel bad about when I miss something like this. As long as you’re polite about it it’s no big deal even if we are in a rush, we would rather have you leave happy

if you’re ordering a mocha cookie crumble or a caramel ribbon crunch, that’s why there’s whip at the top and bottom. as for asking for no whip. to avoid asking them to remake it, after you place the order, simply call the store and be like, “hi I just placed an order for ___, I just need to make sure I put no whip, i can’t remember if I did or not” and then it will be drilled into our brains and you won’t look like a karen, just a forgetful lady who doesn’t want whip

Ok thanks!
Decent_Wall138017 points1y ago
honestly as long as you aren’t super mean they’d be happy to remake it for you, don’t feel about about wanting the right thing!

Customers that really want to drill something in about their order change their name in the app - like “extra extra cream bill” or “dairy allergy no whip Alexa”

We have a "monica no shakey" for her matcha that she doesn't want shaken. It actually helps a lot

I agree with what others are saying, just say something and let them remake it. It’s the baristas responsibility to read the order and make it how it was ordered.
If you are getting the mocha cookie crumble I would suggest you just order the Java chip frappucino with no whip. It doesn’t get any whip on bottom. At least if they still put the whip on top it can easily be scooped off with the silver bar spoon we use.

I get the Carmel ribbon crunch.

Op do you care about the caramel sugar topping? If not I’d maybe recommend ordering a coffee Frappuccino and add in the dark caramel sauce. You could add in the caramel sugar topping if you like it in still and caramel drizzle if you like it still. Coffee and espresso Frappuccinos do not get whip! The problem with the layered Frappuccinos, the caramel ribbon crunch and the mocha cookie crumble is that they’re layered whip and sauce on the bottom and whip on top with topping and drizzle. Sometimes a barista sees one of these layered Frappuccino’s and goes to add the whip on bottom and top without realizing the drink has no whip. It’s not ok that the barista did that and I’ve definitely done it before in a rush and had to remake the drink. If you order it this way it definitely won’t have any whip (it might even be cheaper since it’s not one of the fancy layered Frappuccinos with toppings that probably add on to the drinks price)

I gotta be honest, sometimes when we’re busy af I will read the ticket but by the end I’ll forget and just add it cause it muscle memory. Although every time it happens I am always apologetic and am happy to remake it, as long as the person is nice about it of course. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if you said something!

That’s weird. No one likes to do extra so if they read it correctly, it wouldn’t be a problem.
