Does anyone else spill sweet cream every-time you empty the cube into pitchers? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by submissivegayalien
Why do we even use cubes? They're not made to pour from!
rnaggie53 9 points 1y ago
Put the pitcher in the sink & pour from above. Easy clean up

Cubes? We use the pitchers
submissivegayalien [OP] 5 points 1y ago
You know the cubes we put beans in? Out store makes a few of those filled with cream, and then we pour that into pitchers. I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be done, but I always make a mess.

My store (highest volume in the district) has found it is substantially easier to do an “assembly line” of pitchers”. No spill risk, and it gets easy with muscle memory.

Same

oh jesus we use square shaped pitchers but we do NOT do whatever tf you guys are doing. wtf
darkwolf523 1 points 1y ago
I know what you mean but why the cubes?
avocadogreatness 5 points 1y ago
More product ready 😊

True
Responsible_Snow7109 1 points 1y ago
I think stores with higher volumes of customers do it that way. My store doesnt but i feel like we should cuz we go thru so mamy damn pitchers
darkwolf523 2 points 1y ago
Same

maybe it’s rlly popular at their store or they have a high volume store bc mine only uses the pitchers as well but we dont rlly get ppl ordering it
darkwolf523 1 points 1y ago
Also true. I’m just worry for the cold brew itself and espresso beans while closing
Torirock10 3 points 1y ago
yes. i spill it pulling out of the fridge too
submissivegayalien [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Those lids are no good. Not fit for liquid.
ihateyousoymatcha 3 points 1y ago
We just make pitchers. It isn't hard to make a bunch in one go so we stopped making cubes.

We do use cubes for lemonade though, because we go through less of it.
Ordinary-Theory-8289 2 points 1y ago
You go through less….so you keep more if it stocked in a larger container? And lemonade takes about 30 seconds to pour from the box and add water. I’m so confused as to the logic here lol
ihateyousoymatcha 1 points 1y ago
We go through less lemonade, so we have one new tea pitcher (with the tap spout) on a riser, and make 2 cubes in the fridge.

We fly through Sweet Cream so fast there's zero time to pour from a cube when the pitcher runs out. We just make 8-10 pitchers every couple hours
Remarkable_Hold_2342 2 points 1y ago
My store makes the sweet cream in the pitchers so no thank god. Although we do pour the iced coffee from cubes into the pitchers and I usually do spill at least a little bit when I do
ihateyousoymatcha 1 points 1y ago
Get you a Curtis
Remarkable_Hold_2342 1 points 1y ago
A Curtis?
ihateyousoymatcha 1 points 1y ago
Ice coffee Curtis.

This guy:

I'm not at work or I'd look up the SKU for you.

We brew a full batch in the morning, ice it, and pour it into Curtis
Remarkable_Hold_2342 1 points 1y ago
Honestly if we had that that’d be great, thank you for showing me! Cause I have never seen it before lol
BandagedBacon 1 points 1y ago
I make the sc in the pitcher, our store doesn't use cubes for that.
submissivegayalien [OP] 1 points 1y ago
That makes way more sense. The store I trained at just used pitchers.
notrachelmar 1 points 1y ago
haha i used to spill them all the time when we started using them that way. it honestly is so much easier to make the cubes than to do a bunch of pitchers. not sure how long you’ve been doing it this way but it gets easier!!
