Barista Massage Time (self.starbucksbaristas)

I vote that since we Partners deserve it, and Starbucks claims they “support us”…then why only mentally and not physically? A lot of us are aching through some of these shifts but we stay because we need the money and some love the job as well. Since we’re sacrificing our bodies and minds…Starbucks should find a way to provide professional Massage Therapists in every store and provide every Partner with a 15-30min massage time per shift, and on the clock. Do you know how much that would and could help people??? They can afford it!!

I'd rather have a reimbursable amount each month to spend on a wellness service of our choice. My sister's employer gives them a $100 reimbursable "wellness" benefit that they can use on a gym membership, massage services etc. She uses hers on a membership at a hot yoga studio and a float bar.

I’m not big on massages but I’ve had other jobs that were less physically taxing that have at least provided this on say like a quarterly or monthly basis, I definitely think that could be helpful. I’m seriously so sore today.

That’s a good point! Some people don’t like to be touched. In that case, maybe they could provide something like heating and cooling pads for everyone. And that is amazing that some companies actually do that for their employees!
