How long till I start training?(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by f41rysp1t
I had an interview at Starbucks around the 25th of March and then a week later was called and offered the position and that I had to do a background check. After another week I got called and was told the background check was good and to come in Monday (3 days later) for my hiring paperwork. They said they’d call me to let me know about my training schedule after I was done with my orientation stuff. It’s been another week and I haven’t heard anything yet… does it normally take this long? I know my store is in the process of switching SMs and I think I’m the first hire the new one has done but I’ve never had a job take this long to actually get started

The schedule is usually made three week in advance so it will probably be another 2 weeks!

this is probably it. they have to have the barista trainer scheduled around your availability as well and make sure they aren’t meant to be on the floor

It might be because the schedule is made 2-3 weeks in advance, so it might take another week or 2, don’t stress too much! If it hits 3-4 weeks then I’d maybe try texting the manger asking about it.

no clue. i was hired around the 13th of february , one week for a BG check, then i was in for orientation that next wednesday, online training thursday, then I started training on the next tuesday. If I had to bet, it is the SM change.
