i wish there were a way to fix entitled customers (self.starbucksbaristas)

it drives me insane to the bone that partner are expected to accommodate entitled people. ive heard so many shifts over the years say it’s not worth the fight and they don’t feel like getting confrontational. How are they so blind to seeing that they want us to step aside and let them do what they want?! and if we let them it reassures the idea they have that they can bend whatever rules they like if they put on the pressure. like seriously how have i stood up to and shut down more entitled karens than my shifts and managers combined??!?! everyone complains and when given the perfect opportunity to teach the customer that no matter how they react they get what they pay for, they’d rather just give the free drink. now i understand why some people prefer not to confront crusty custies but even just going to grab someone who can handle it is better than rolling over and letting them get what they want while we get verbal abuse in return. sometimes physical bc ive had customers throw drinks before. the siren is hell. when my apron is hung up im going to start showing up to sit in the lobby and be the one to fight the karens. no one can tell me to just accept it if im a customer
