my shift didn't want to give us breaks today :) grande rant (self.starbucksbaristas)

i worked 5:30-2 today, we only had 3 people on the floor from 5:30-11am
we had 3 openers, one partner left at 9am and was replaced by another partner immediately, so it was 3 people the whole time. my shift asked me to put away the daily order, because it was very big for some reason, but nbd i got it done quickly (i put the weekly order away each week, so i'm the most familiar with the organization of the back). we were barely able to scrape taking our first 10s, the entire time my shift was stressing about how we wouldnt be able to take our 30s like this. once im back from my first 10, she asked me to do cold brew as quickly as possible. i put away the 6 cubes, cleaned the machines, and started new cold brew in a tight 30ish minutes. at this point it was like 10:45 so we started running 30s. i went on mine second, and immediately after i got back, my ssv was trying to act all cutesy "would you be opposed to starting breakdown?" i snapped at my ssv because i'm exhausted - the last 3 days have been terrible shifts (shout out to other partners who worked easter sunday), she had a 4 day weekend and was whining about how she feels like the store falls apart if she isn't there. THEN with a little more than an hour left in my shift she goes "how committed are you to taking your last 10?" her shift ended 15 minutes later and she didn't want to have to cover me for my break. i almost lost it. i told her i wanted to take my ten as soon as it was possible; i'll be honest and say i took closer to 15 minutes today.
i have a resignation letter in my drafts folder and it looks better every day
