Applying for starbucks… (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by claypigeons18
I’m in the process of applying for starbucks and i’m not sure if i should opt out of the disability form. I have some conditions listed on the form (anxiety and major depression) but I *mostly* don’t let it effect my work. Should I disclose this or will it make me less likely to be hired?

I disclose mine. Not only are they not supposed to disqualify you for it but I think they may be more likely to hire you because then they can brag about hiring disabled people. Also, it makes them less likely to fire you

idk any time I applied previously, I stated I had disabilities, but the one time I actually got a call back after I applied was the one time I didn’t disclose that information

i have ptsd, generalized anxiety, & major depression. i didnt list it because i didn’t want those things to affect my work, and i don’t want my manager or other shifts to give me room to let it affect me in the floor. also, they’re not supposed to but i worried that they would see those has flaws and possibly not hire me over it. but that’s just me and maybe im too strict on myself, but i just wanted to be given the same expectations as someone w/o mental illness

I have pretty bad anxiety but I wouldn’t disclose it personally
