who answered honnestly to the survey ? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Redpirat3
(Survey about why we are working here, what do we love about our work. Came out today)
I answered like the exact opposite of what I'm thinking and living when doing this job... Even if it was annonymous, or so it seems (even though you have to give your store name), that tells the level of fear inspired by this job, hierarchy, precarity to keep this job...
It's a shame that we must lie, keep the rythm as we are doing alone the work of 2, hide our fears and emotions, all this for a non-decent wage coming from a multi-billion dollars company that doesn't care about our well-being.

I gave every single category the lowest score, and I'd hope that you'd do the same, cowards

My survey didn't have categories to rate...

Be honest, the surveys are anonymous. They use your store number to give the feedback to each Area leader so they can address issues at the local level too if there are trends. This survey is how we’ve gotten changes in the past for uniform changes (shoutout to anyone who was here during the collared shirt days), extra labor for high cold bar volume stores, benefits like Lyra, etc. If you truly want corporate to address things that need to be changed, you need to tell them (and not just on Reddit/social media).

What? Why didn’t you answer honestly? Do you think you’re going to get punished for honestly answering an anonymous survey?
Redpirat3 [OP] -5 points 1y ago
Well yes ! We need to give our store number, and our SM wanted us to tell him when each of us completed the survey
And yes, I don't think my views about what to change in this hell of a company would please anyone in charge. The mere possibility that there can be any consequences on me, for whatever reason is frightening me. I have no trust in this big company

It knows what store you're at because some of the questions are about your manager and peers, equipment, etc. Your manager wants to know if you took it most likely because the DM is hounding them to get responses ASAP. They too have metrics that they have to hit. If a store or district doesn't get enough responses, it most likely won't spit out a score for them so they won't have anything to reference if they did care about improving. Not sure how starbucks survey works.. but in previous jobs, I needed 80% of my staff to submit responses or I wouldn't get a score that year and that really bothered me because I used that info to make decisions.

I was 100% honest because they need to hear it. I doubt that anyone actually reads them fully anyway

I’m always honest on the surveys, I trash Starbucks As a corporation

I was bluntly honest and gave crap ratings
cynicosm 2 points 1y ago
how do you get access to the survey?
crzyshiba 2 points 1y ago
I was brutally honest with one too.. and wrote in how their is favoritism and lack of letting certain partners get away with murder haha 😂 well it seems that way
venusiangirl 2 points 1y ago
I went off on a rant and swore pretty heavily one time and remember freaking out up until my next shift because I thought they’d actually read it and I’d get fired. Most of they time they don’t see it

I was brutally honest in mine, they say “anonymous” but i included my store number on purpose so they can see what kind of garbage is actually going on in their stores. Doubtful they actually care because theyre 100% aware already. Almost everyone at my store was excited to get paid to trash talk starbucks; especially after the hour long propaganda video from Howard.
