should i work at starbucks again (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by zaggabba
heyyy baristas, im a 21f and last year from 2020 til early this year (feb 2022) i was working at a licensed starbucks. i had to leave for personal reasons but now that im ready to work again, ive been applying to work at actual starbucks's, like corportate ones and for awhile i had no luck hearing back from any. so i applied to other places. and yesterday i had an interview from this cute and trendy aesthetic vegan restaurant to work as a server/host and i was talking to the girls that work there and they all said they love working there and that the pay is good and managers "Care a lot about you". so they offered me the job and i accepted it. but this morning i just got a text from a starbucks near my home and they offered to interview w me next week. a part of me really misses the siren and being a barista. but the other part of me is excited to start the new job.

i should also note that i applied to be a shift supervisor since i think ??? i can handle being one and have enough experience.

i should ALSO note that the vegan restaurant is super close to my university. but the starbucks is super close to my home that is 40 minutes away from my university. and im also debating if i should live back home to \*save money\* and commute to my university or continue living in the city where my university is at.

i know this was a lot. u can see the summary of my dilemma in the tldr 😭

TL;DR : i want to work at starbucks again but accepted another job and now a starbucks wants to interview with me. the starbucks is near my home, the other job is near my university and i am also debating if i should back home again or live in my university. where i choose to live is where ill decide what job i take.

do whichever one you feel better about. if you wanna live home, save money, u got it! if u wanna take the restaurant job, do that!
