Haha yes if you type in a cash number but then hit a bill number on the side it will do this. Like if you type in $20.00 but then hit the $20 bill picture. Don’t worry your drawer will still balance fine.

Apparently this is the result of some kind of bug. I’ve seen this before here. I don’t remember what you do to trigger it but this isn’t just the result of hitting “$40,000.00”.

You type in an amount and then press the bill button. What I think happens is the bill button sends a number as a signal to the checkout function that the amount was entered, but it's not the same as the amount, it's some kind of huge constant value. So pressing the button with an amount typed in fills the number field with this huge constant and automatically checks out.
It's an old bug, this happened to me years and years ago.

haha yeah when you type a number and hit a bill, it will multiply that number by the amount on the bill you hit. it was extremely funny the first time someone did that in my store though.
