Does anyone know what the covid policy is now? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I was exposed and my SM told me I have to use sick hours. (This is my third time being exposed and having to isolate). SM is not totally reliable on knowing things.

There isn’t one unless you test positive.
Then you get 5 days off and have to return to work masked. Regardless of whether you’re still positive or not.

Thank you! My SM didn't ask if I was positive or not. And yesterday they told me I had to isolate for 5 days. But then told me they were wrong and that I could work but needed a negative test on the 5th day. Which doesn't make sense to me.

You don’t isolate for exposure anymore, it’s dumb in my opinion not too

Depends on the exposure, ongoing (live with someone that is positive) or worked a shift with someone that tested positive. The former, you’ll need to isolate ten days after their symptoms improve. The latter, you continue to work (if you’re vaccinated) and have to test negative on day five to continue working, or you’ll have to isolate until a negative test of five days, whichever is less. It’s a really confusing policy now.

They no longer do ten days isolations at all, and no longer isolate for exposure in general.

California is the only state out of all 50 who still do and it’s because of state guidelines. The rest of the country doesn’t. Starbucks made me come back to work on my FIFTH day of HAVING COVID, where I live on the east coast

There are still instances in which someone would have to isolate, vaccination status being a good example.
As I stated, it’s a bit different now because certain situations warrant different responses. Since the OP said they had to isolate, that’s what I was responding to. And I just moved out here from the east coast, south Florida, so I’m pretty up to date on that as well since we have to know what the rest of the country is doing. 👍🏽
