Help me proofread this. Is anything wrong? Is anything missing? (i.redd.it)

Caramel Cream cold brew would get vanilla syrup.
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Just for the number of pumps that would go under the Named Cold Brew section!

I've got another page for recipies
Jaded_Fun_7133 2 points 1y ago
Post it!
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Hahaha its waaaay to long lol

But I might post the Uncommon/Nonstandard Drinks page after this one is totally worked out
purplebootyeater 8 points 1y ago
frappuccino doesn’t have two a’s. that’s all i notice
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Lmao thanks
Elmo_the_Dragon 6 points 1y ago
The only thing I don't see on there would be cold foam options. So recipes for the cold foams themselves. Like the recipe for nonfat cold foam and the salted caramel foam. Especially with people modifying and adding foam so much more lately.
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Oh that's good, I'll add it to the recipes page. I didn't want to clog the subReddit up with screenshot posts so I only posted the basic shots on syrup one
RubySapphireSage 3 points 1y ago
Wait what is Vi ?
Edit : I decided to use my brain and venti iced ..
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 1 points 1y ago
:)

For standard espresso drinks like lattes/mochas, the training treats hot and iced completely differently, but it never made sense for me to remember two completely different sets when only the Venti is different.

We've found it easier for training purposes to explain it as a scale from short to Trenta, so you just count up, like shots as 1/1/2/2/3 for Venti iced

Or syrups as 2/3/4/5/6 for Venti iced/7
RubySapphireSage 2 points 1y ago
Oh uhm I know the sequencing already I was confused at first I thought it said VL
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
All good! I was just saying why I write it T/G/V/Vi/Tr instead of separating hot and cold :)

Does the matcha Frappuccino get full pumps? That's crazy and I refuse to believe it. The number one ingredient in the powder itself is sugar 😅
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 5 points 1y ago
That's what I thought too! I said the exact same thing. I was just in a full debate about this in another post, so we both checked our recipe cards.

It actually specifies that it's a non-standard drink and gets 2/3/4 full pumps on the card, and all syrups are shown in full pumps on POS where it still says 2/3/4
barista2111 2 points 1y ago
🤯 I'm going to have to triple check that myself. What does it say for the strawberry creme?

I pretty much always ask customers if they want the classic syrup in the matcha frappuccino anyway and let them know it doesn't come standard in the matcha lattes anymore and that the main ingredient in the powder is sugar. If they say yes after all that, they're probably the kind of people who would like the full pumps better anyway.
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 4 points 1y ago
Strawberry is standard CBS pumps.

I thought they both were until someone corrected me and we started talking about it. I got shook
brattneybiscuit 1 points 1y ago
Wait I have a picture of the recipe card for the strawberry one and it says full pumps of classic. Was it recently updated? The card on my phone is dated 1/2021

THANK U FOR POSTING THIS

Isn't that somebody's job? 😂
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 5 points 1y ago
If it were an official Starbucks thing, probably 😂

We're building a Discord to help our green beans but no one is obligated to help on here.

They make it seem like standard iced shots/syrups are totally separate from hot, but the only syrup that's different is Venti iced. It's easier to learn it as a scale from short to Trenta.
gonerstruce 1 points 1y ago
hey is this discord public for all green beans, or is it only for your location specifically? i recently finished training but having a server i can double check would be helpful
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
When it's done I might post it.

Our greenbeans haven't even seen it yet because we're still adding things and double checking recipes and standards.

I'm kinda confused what's going on here.

Which shots are you talking about? And what do you mean fraps are on the pumps?
Hazel_is_Trans 1 points 1y ago
Hot bar drunks.....
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 1 points 1y ago
For the ones with an H I see the 1/1/2/2

But the ones with a C? I don't know any drink standard for shots that goes 1/2/3/3
Hazel_is_Trans 1 points 1y ago
I know it's the same until venti but Americaos and shaken espresso get an extra shot
socalsailor027 -2 points 1y ago
Regular Shaken espressos get full pumps of classic and other syrups
ihateyousoymatcha [OP] 2 points 1y ago
Nope! All 3 of the Shaken Espressos are made with half pumps. Your recipe cards should say as much if you want to double check. :)

Classic is full dose for ice coffee and matcha frappuccinos, but there should be a half pump bottle on hot bar for the standard shaken espresso.

Much like LCS, brown sugar and toasted vanilla are half pumps in any drink because it's a "stronger syrup." You should only have half pumps in these bottles.

We've been spending a lot of time on recipe review at my store, and some debates on Reddit have had me looking recipes up all over again

>Much like LCS, brown sugar and toasted vanilla are half pumps in any

Is there a place in any of the official resources that mentions this? I've recently read the sauces & syrups section of the BRM and don't recall seeing anything about this, so I'm curious to see where I could find this. TIA!

**EDIT: My SM has a screenshot of a message from someone on the beverage team confirming this.**

Word for word quote: *"There is no need to double the amount pumps, you would use the standard amount of pumps based on the pumps available in the station you're at."*

Take a close look at your recipe cards. :)

BOSE, TVOSE, and SE cards all specify half dose pumps. Those are the only recipes made with the first two syrups, so there is no reason to have a full pump. LCS is also specifically dosed at half on all recipes it's in, including the hot ones!

Classic is used in other drinks (iced coffee, matcha frappuccinos) at full dosage, which is why there should be full pump on cold bar, but a half dose on hot bar for the shaken espresso.

If a syrup is only on the counter in one type of pump, that's it's standard dosage regardless of which pump it is. It'll be the standard number of pumps *on that pump*.

For syrups like classic, caramel, and vanilla, which have both a half dose and full dose pump on hot and cold bar respectively, then it depends on the drink recipes. :)

Let me know if you have questions!

>If a syrup is only on the counter in one type of pump, that's it's

So my understanding is that a Latte with Brown Sugar Syrup would get 4 pumps (half dosed)?

I personally would make it with 4 pumps (full dosed) going off the Espresso Shots & Syrup Pumps - Quick Reference Card found in the Coffee & Beverage section of the Store Resources.
