Losing weight at the bucks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Caffeineadick
So I was over weight before working at Starbucks, ((18nb)) weighing around 250. However since working 8 hour days 5 days a week every week for the last 9 months I’ve notice a drastic change in weight Is this normal for starbs partners? Or should o go see a medical professional

I always lost weight working there. You don’t eat or just eat a little bit, drink much more liquids, and are running around for the whole shift. I was averaging 10,000 steps in a shift and our store was tiny. Just make sure you’re drinking enough water and choose “healthier” options when you eat in-store. I swear egg bites and shaken espressos made me lose like 10 pounds.

According to my Apple Watch I burn 850-1000 calories per 8hr shift! So I think it seems pretty normal. We bust our butts!

i worked there for roughly 4 years and i can say that i would always drop weight right during holiday season & usually the lil beginning of summer rush (they used to have bogo frap offers & a TON of double star days during the summer time so it got busy). i always contributed mine to the running around as well as the stress (especially if your store is understaffed) so that may be it. remember to drink tons of water & use that food mark out friend. good luck!
