Lattes, americanos, etc. are not allowed as refills… right? This woman was belligerent today to one of the baristas I work with so I took over and asked what was the drink she had and she told me an americano. I told her I don’t have a button for an americano refill, therefore I cannot sell her one. She says “everyone else does it for me I’ve been coming here for 20 years to this exact Starbucks.” I essentially repeated what I had said before, then she asks if I can just “punch through” a refill for a different drink. I said no, that could get me in trouble and I can’t go against policy. She replied “well I couldn’t tell you how many of the people that work here would be in trouble then because they all know what I want. Fine whatever how much is it?” I ring her through she gets her drink and moves on.

Come to find out, this store hasn’t even been there for 10 years, let alone 20! I transferred about a month and a half ago and had no clue until the other partners told me after our encounter. Apparently she has done this to another closer, but I just wanted to be CRYSTAL clear; that isn’t a refill right???
