Iced cappuccino (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by rnaggie53
I know it’s not a common drinks, I’ve literally had someone order it like one time ever, but the topic came up this morning on how to make an iced cappuccino. So I looked for the recipe card and I couldn’t find one???

Then when I tried to ring it up on the POS, it said entry invalid so I’m wondering if you can no longer get an iced cappuccino? Does anyone know about this?

If I’m mistaken let me know. And also please let me know how to make an iced cappuccino. It sounds really good

They have officially taken them off the menu. You have to ring it in as an iced latte add regular cold foam.

Pour shots directly over the ice in whatever size cup has been asked for. Use the foaming pitcher to foam whatever milk has been asked for (I believe it goes 200, 250, 300 ml based on size asked for). Once shots have been poured, top off with foam and there you have it. Looks very appealing but have yet to try. SM claims we should still steam milk and add that, but no one else thinks that way, so there’s that. Enjoy!

Shots over the ice being the first step was changed in 2019. Right at the beginning of the year they changed all recipes that started with ice to shots going directly into the cup for consistency.

So shots, milk to the second line, ice leaving 1.5 inches from the top, and non-fat foam.
The non-fat foam was to 150 ml.

It’s very bland! I’m very glad they took it off the menu. It was much better than the iced latte with hot foam on top that we used to do but it still wasn’t a good drink.

i’m pretty sure there are two different variations. the og iced capp is shots over ice with steamed milk foam. the iced cold foam cappuccino is (standard) nonfat milk cold foam over iced shots

So no milk, just cold foam? And why do the shots get poured directly over ice

You would put milk. You’d fill to the second line of the cup with milk. I went into more detail above.
